Rehabilitation after Stroke
The acute phase of post-stroke condition in Eastern medicine is referred to as "wind stroke." If treatment is initiated during this period (i.e., as early as possible), recovery occurs much sooner. Post-stroke rehabilitation invariably involves acupuncture. In more severe cases, combining acupuncture with massage and therapeutic exercises is recommended. Acupuncture provides an opportunity for the development of new nerve cells, offering them new pathways around damaged areas of the brain, restoring motor function, vision, hearing, speech, and more. Acupuncture treatment has shown a positive outcome in 85% of stroke survivors. By activating bioactive points, blood supply and nervous regulation improve, while estrogen production is gently stimulated. Unpleasant symptoms are alleviated, and overall well-being is enhanced.
